Radiometric assays remain the most powerful tool for studying GPCRs, NRs, ion channels, enzymes as well as transporters. Compared with non-radiometric approaches, radioligand binding assays offer the best methods to evaluate compound affinity towards target proteins including GPCR and ion channels. Radiometric enzyme assays involving use of [33P]-γ-ATP give better sensitivity than widely used ADP-glow or other testing systems. The radiolabelled amino acids are being widely used for research study on some key |
transporters. |

Radiometric Facility |
|
HDB's state-of-the-art radioactive assay facilitate is equipped with scintillation counters (MicroBeta and TopCount), cell harvesters (FilterMate), high speed centrifuge (Toshiba), liquid handlers and the high throughput Viewlux to meet the needs of assay development, |
HTS campaign and weekly SAR screenings. |
|
Isotopes We Work With |
|
HDB could handle various isotopes including 3H, 14C, 32P, 33P, 35S and 125I. If the isotope you are interested is not on our list, HDB could make the new addition within 4 weeks. Importation channel is also well established to transfer radiometric materials from |
commercial vendors or client locations. |
