| The collaboration
agreement between HD Biosciences and pharmaceutical
giant Organon receives positive response. |

| Since the announcement,
the collaboration agreement between HD Biosciences
and Organon has attracted great attention in
pharmaceutical and biotech communities. In December-9-2005
issue, Drug Discovery News wrote an article
"Pharma-breathing
Dragon", which marked the deal
as a signal of significant changes in the attitudes¡ªperhaps,
opening of eyes is more appropriate¡ªof multinational
companies toward China and its role in the drug
discovery process. The same journal has another
article in its January 4, 2006 issue, "Made
(better) in China: HD Biosciences/Organon sign
research agreement". The author
put remarks on this deal as the first research
agreement of big pharmas and Chinese biotech
companies. Other media such as Genetic
Engineering News and Biospace.com have also put the signing as their front-page
