| September 2005 - the researchers of HD Biosciences visited China
Pharmaceutical University located in Nanjing, Jiangsu
province, and had a meeting with professors and graduate
students of the Department of Traditional TCM Recipes.
The meeting is a part of mutual communication activity.
Both sides had a hot discussion of the details of
past cooperations and of projects to come, and achieved
a lot through the meeting. |

HD Biosciences has completed the extension and upgrade
of its laboratory and has officially begun to utilize
the new facility; the new experimental equipment greatly
enhances the company's abilities. |

| May 28, 2005 - staff member Tang Mo, representing our company,
participated in a chess tournament held by the China
Golden Investment Group and won second place. |

| May 27, 2005 - company staff member Zhang Yan participated in the
Zhangjiang Biological Medicine Fraternity's performance
report. |

| May 20, 2005 - HD Biosciences organized its staff to participate
in its annual company travel activity. The three-day
long excursion to Mount Wuyi, colleagues not only
increased their understandings of each other, but
deepened their friendships as well, enhancing the
team's cohesive force. |

| May 2005- Scientists
from HD Biosciences have published an article for
anti-SARS-CoA virus compound screening in "Antiviral
Research" (67, page18-23. 2005). The paper, entitled
"Identification of natural compounds with antiviral
activities against SARS-associated coronavirus",
introduces some of the important discoveries related
to anti-SARS screening research made by HD Biosciences
and the Beijing Genomics Institute in 2003-2004. |

| May 2005 - HD
Biosciences, the Chinese Academy of the Sciences,
and the Beijing Genomics Institute have filed a joint
patent application for the E2 preparation method and
its anti-SARS applications. The patent application
has already been publicized and will soon enter the
substantive examination stage. |

| April 2005 -
HD Biosciences has had a significant breakthrough
in their search for a cholesterol-lowering compound.
Using screening technology and traditional Chinese
medicine, HD Biosciences has isolated three effective
compounds and has passed them through structural analysis.
Also, the company, as a result of independent research
and development, plans to report five new kinds of
medicines to the Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute.
Animal testing is still ongoing. |

2005 - Dr. Xuehai Tan, the president
of HD Biosciences, has been invited to give
a speech in the IBC Asia Pacific Pharma, BioTech
& Healthcare CEO Summit 2005. The title
of his speech is "Prospects of Natural
Compound-Based Drug Discovery". |

| January 7, 2005 - the staff of HD Biosciences gathered together in
celebration of the New Year, partaking in games, skits,
and other activities. Afterwards, the staff ate a
New Year's supper together. This event not only gave
each staff member the opportunity to share about themselves,
but also promoted understandings between colleagues
and strengthened the spirit of team cooperation. |

| January 2005 - HD Biosciences has achieved significant results
in its screening with Dopamine Receptor 5 (D5R), successfully
isolating many natural compounds from the company's
extensive natural compound library. D5R is a recent
discovery that has received much attention from both
domestic and foreign enterprises for its agonist and
hypertension treatment potential. HD Biosciences has
constructed its own cell-based functional screening
model, which it has used to screen over 10,000 kinds
of natural compounds, several of which have been found
to activate D5R's compounds; follow-through research
is ongoing. These natural compound discoveries have
provided a new base for the development of new medicines
using D5R. |
